Provost Message

This is a very exciting time at Grand Canyon University. The rich heritage of the past still thrives in an atmosphere of innovation, energy and growth.

Grand Canyon's mission focuses on providing quality academics while remaining a student centered organization. We offer a wide variety of flexible and accelerated programs to serve both working adults who are interested in earning a college degree and traditional programs for students interested in a full campus experience. Our graduate programs provide opportunities to advance study in both professional programs and traditional academic areas. Students throughout the university system will see this commitment to their education both through our online and campus faculty and our campus improvements.

We are committed to ensuring quality, rigorous academic programs that will challenge you intellectually and spiritually. We focus on student retention, accountability of learning outcomes and faculty development. The curriculum and culture uniquely address each area of our mission statement preparing learners to become global citizens, critical thinkers, effective communicators, and responsible learners by providing an academically challenging, values-based curriculum from the context of our Christian heritage. With its foundation as a traditional liberal arts school, the Colleges of Education, Nursing and Health Sciences have a long history of providing quality nurses, health care employees and teachers throughout the nation. Our Ken Blanchard College of Business develops servant leaders through its many business, leadership and management programs. Our newest colleges, the College of Doctoral Studies and the College of Fine Arts and Production, already have reputations in the community as developing highly sought after academic programs.

Our purpose is to help you find yours. GCU is a collaborative community of students, staff, and faculty, all dedicated to one goal, developing innovative, servant leaders in their varying fields of endeavor, and equipping those leaders with the skills that can make a tangible difference in their life, their work, and their world. We are dedicated to building leaders who have both courage and wisdom, are not afraid of change and who have the foresight to see its effects and implications.

We stand by our quality programs and I encourage you to view this website, explore our many programs and join our community of learners. As your Provost, I welcome each of you to GCU.

Use your time here wisely. Get involved. Catch the spirit.
Be a Lope.
