Veteran Education Assistance Program (VEAP)

The Post-Vietnam Veterans' Educational Assistance Program, or VEAP (chapter 32 of title 38, U. S. Code) provides education and training opportunities to eligible persons who contributed to the program while on active duty on a $2 for $1 contribution match by the Government.

  •  Must have entered Active Duty after December 31, 1976 and before July 1, 1985
  • Veteran must have contributed money to VEAP while on active duty, and have money available for benefits
  • Benefits end 10 years from the date of last release from active duty, or utilized total benefits available

Contributions may be withdrawn if you do not meet the basic eligibility requirements or if you formally request a refund of the contributions withheld.
