The mission of Alumni Relations is to serve and engage the Grand Canyon University family by fostering lifelong engagements between the University and its alumni, and to promote the Christian mission of the University.

Alumni Chapters
Alumni Chapters, or "'Lopes Herds," are forming across the country! There are now 'Lope Herds in several cities, with more starting each month. Chapter meetings are a chance for alumni from all majors to get together, socialize, relax and network.

In 2000, Melissa founded a charterschool, the Arizona Charter Academy and Superior School, and is the organization's COO. Holdaway carries a professional work ethic into every endeavor. Her ambition to improve herself and her skills led her to enroll as one of the first students in the Ken Blanchard College of Business Executive MBA program.

Welcome to your website! As you will notice, there are many changes from the past site... a new location, a fresh clean new look and hopefully content that is relevant to you and your relationship with each other and the University.

If you haven't been to the campus in the past two years, chances are, you wouldn't know where you are! With five new residence halls already opened, and two more due to open each of the next two years, the first visible change is the number of students on campus! With over 40,000 students taking classes online around the country and world, and an additional 6,500 or so students taking classes on the ground campus, we are now welcoming new alumni at a rate of over 10,000 each year!

This year it was announced that the ‘Lopes will be moving up to NCAA Division I status (for all teams) and joining the Western Athletic Conference beginning in the fall of 2013! Our teams have made a wonderful showing thus far in the 2012-2013 sports year, and GCU hopes to repeat as Learfield Cup Division II winner this year.

Our newest tradition of alumni tailgates before home basketball games continues to grow and gain momentum, with an average of 120 alumni attending the pre-game festivities. We invite you to come out and join your fellow ‘Lopes for a great bite to eat and some fast-paced basketball action as we watch our new head coach "Thunder" Dan Majerle coach the ‘Lopes in their first season in Division I. Alumni can purchase season tickets in the alumni section, complete with alumni promotions during most games, by calling the alumni office at 602-639-6418.

Drop by the Alumni Center (Building 1, Room 101) when you are on campus! Hope to see you soon!
