CCSC Service Commitment

Congratulations on being a CCSC Scholar!

At Grand Canyon University we believe quality education and faith can coexist in the 21st century. With the Canyon Christian Schools Consortium, GCU has established a partnership dedicated to enhancing the Christian educational experience of all parties involved, most importantly you, the student! As a CCSC Scholarship recipient, you are required to participate in community service activities each semester.

Below is a variety of service options to choose from. Many of the service opportunities listed are offered on more than just a single date, and run throughout the semester. Once you have selected an opportunity that you would like to participate in, please email the contact listed and properly register. It is required that your service opportunity be selected solely from this list to complete your scholarship requirement this semester.

In order to receive credit for volunteering, you must fill out the Requirement Log and have it signed by an event supervisor. Signed forms should be scanned and emailed to or faxed to 602-343-4606.

Service Opportunities Untitled Document

The following service opportunities are for continuing students only (sophomore, junior and senior CCSC scholarship recipients). Freshmen (starting GCU in fall 2014 and spring 2015) should contact their student services advisor. Please do not show up without having first made contact with the service event coordinator. Walk-ins will be sent home and given an alternate date to participate.

Local Outreach Service options include:

  • Canyon Kids
  • Serrano Kids
  • Changing Lives Center

If you would like to volunteer for these events, you must first stop by spiritual life to pick up your orientation materials and complete a background check.
