Grand Canyon University's business curriculum covers topics all business professionals should understand in order to gain a solid academic foundation for a chosen career path. Regardless of the specific type of business degree you choose to pursue, you'll develop and refine skills in core areas such as economics, accounting, marketing, statistics, organizational behavior, and legal and ethical issues. Furthermore, earning a business degree will allow you to strengthen your communication and leadership skills. Grand Canyon University offers a real-world business degree so you're able to immediately apply the skills you're learning directly to your career.

The Colangelo College of Business is comprised of two academic schools: the School of Business Studies and the School of Professional Studies. Each school offers quality programs to meet the specific career needs of each student.

The School of Business Studies exists to serve both undergraduates who are preparing to initiate careers and working professionals who are seeking to develop their careers further. Our traditional business degrees are housed in the School of Business Studies. These degrees have attained the elite accreditation from the Accreditation Council for Business Schools & Programs (ACBSP), which requires that a program be in existence for two or more years and have graduates before it receives accreditation.

In addition to the School of Business Studies, degree-completion programs geared toward the adult learner are housed in the School of Professional Studies. These business degree programs are intended for the working professional and provide students with knowledge that is highly applicable to the workplace. Most individuals enter a professional studies degree program with all or most of their general education courses completed.

In addition to its business degree offerings, the Colangelo College of Business offers students the opportunity to become members of three student organizations:

  • Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) Student Chapter is open to any student interested in business and is affiliated with the Phoenix Chapter of the IMA. Primary activities include sponsoring guest speakers, visiting area businesses, performing community service projects and participating in Phoenix Chapter IMA events.
  • Delta Mu Delta, a national honor society, is open to both graduate and undergraduate students by invitation only based primarily on scholastic achievement.
  • Alpha Sigma Lambda, a national honor society, is open to undergraduate students who are working professionals and achieve academic excellence.
