
PLT is the oldest and most selective national honor society of educators, and eligibility for membership is based on grade point average. Graduate students must have completed at least two courses in their program of study and Undergraduate students must have achieved at least sophomore standing in a baccalaureate degree program. If you have a cumulative GPA of at least a 3.5, you are eligible for membership.
Because PLT is the most prestigious honor society in the education field, educators recognize membership as an indication that you are a highly motivated individual who is dedicated to education. Membership can certainly enhance your résumé as you apply for a job.
