Grand Canyon University’s Bachelor in Education Degree Programs

Grand Canyon University offers a variety of bachelor's in education degree programs at our traditional campus, located in the heart of Phoenix, as well as online. These programs lead to a teaching license. Our online bachelor's in education courses allow you to study at the times and places that are most convenient for you.

Support Network
At Grand Canyon University, learners entering a bachelor's in education will experience a network of support from the very start. With an experienced Enrollment Counselor guiding them to the program that best aligns with their career goals, to an Academic Counselor who ensures they are registered for the correct classes to graduate on time, students are put on a path to success. Our experienced practitioner faculty, mentor teachers, and teacher education/field experience specialists also serve as part of the support network, helping learners progress through a customized success plan throughout their bachelor's in education program.

Outstanding Reputation

The College of Education has an outstanding reputation among Arizona school districts and many others around the country, which look to quickly hire its graduates. One of the reasons for this outstanding reputation is that the College of Education professors are highly qualified in their fields, having earned numerous awards as authors, presenters and teachers. They use multiple means of instruction to train learners to use in their own educational environments one day. Teacher preparation programs require learners to spend between 100-200 hours in quality practicum/field experiences, based on program of choice, prior to student teaching or internship.

After completing the required field experience hours, which include observation, participation and leadership, and passing their state specific content knowledge exam, students are able to begin student teaching. The student teaching experience is 16 weeks in length and the corresponding courses emphasize the importance of learners building relationships with school districts, schools, staff and teachers. Our learners recognize that their actions and interactions with these individuals will make an impact and create an impression of who they are personally and professionally.
