Benefits for Arizona ALPHA Members

Arizona Members of the Alliance Program for Homeschool Achievement (ALPHA) will benefit in the following ways:

  • Exclusive ALPHA Scholarship. High school students (grades 9-12) who are accepted to attend GCU will receive a $500 (for those living on campus) or $250 (for those living off campus) ALPHA scholarship.*

  • Degree Discount for Staff. ALPHA members will have access to an exclusive 10% degree discount for their organization's members and staff, providing savings toward tuition and fees for online undergraduate, graduate or doctoral degree programs at GCU.**

  • Continuing Education / Single Course Discount. Individual courses from GCU's degree programs, along with a portfolio of six-week online continuing education classes, will be offered at a 10% discount to members and staff of an ALPHA organization.**

  • Degree Discount for Spouses. ALPHA members will have access to an exclusive 5% degree discount for spouses of organization members and staff, providing savings toward tuition and fees for online undergraduate, graduate or doctoral degree programs at GCU.**

  • Cohorts. ALPHA members may request cohort programs for continuing education, individual courses and/or undergraduate, graduate and doctoral degree programs to be delivered on GCU's campus, at regionally approved GCU sites or online.

  • Educational Development and Support (EDS). ALPHA members will have access to GCU's Educational Development and Support (EDS) services. Available EDS opportunities include: Speakers Bureau (motivational speaking and lectures), Professional Development (instruction based on specific subject matter and customized to address specific needs) and Coaching, Mentoring and Consultation (individualized assistance in areas requested).

  • GCU Facilities. ALPHA members will receive priority access to GCU facilities, subject to availability. If there is a charge for any facility use, ALPHA members will receive a significant discount.

  • Events / Opportunities for Students. GCU offers a number of opportunities throughout the school year for your students to experience our vibrant campus life. Additionally, GCU staff members are available to visit your campus to share information about college and career readiness.

Benefits for Out-of-State (AZ) ALPHA Members

Out-of-State Members of the Alliance Program for Homeschool Achievement (ALPHA) will benefit in the following ways:

  • Exclusive ALPHA Scholarship. High school students (grades 9-12) who are accepted to attend GCU will receive a $500 (for those living on campus) or $250 (for those living off campus) ALPHA scholarship. *

  • Degree Discount for Staff. ALPHA members will have access to an exclusive 10% degree discount for their organization's members and staff, providing savings toward tuition and fees for online undergraduate, graduate or doctoral degree programs at GCU.**

  • Dual Enrollment. ALPHA members will have access to a catalog of dual enrollment courses for current high school students, offering them an opportunity to reduce the time needed to complete a bachelor's degree from four years to three. This could reduce college costs by up to 25%.

*To be eligible, students must meet and maintain scholarship requirements. If you drop below the minimum renewal criteria, your scholarship will be forfeited. GCU reserves the right to decline scholarship awards for any reason. **There is no cost to your school or district to become a member of the ALliance Program for Homeschool Achievement.
