The modern nursing pinning ceremony goes back nearly 150 years and continues to be viewed as an important rite-of-passage into the profession of nursing. Steeped in tradition, the ceremony is, symbolically, the beginning of their professional career in nursing. The nursing pin itself is a proud symbol and tradition shared by nurses around the world. Each school's pin is unique and worn prominently on the nurses' uniform while working and proves to be lasting symbol of considerable pride for the wearer. Please join us in this very special ceremony which celebrates the accomplishments of the College of Nursing graduating class while honoring a tradition steeped in a legacy of service.
