Welcome to the
Grand Canyon University College of Nursing and Health Care Professions. Each incoming class energizes me as the promise of preparing the next generation of Nursing and Health Professionals becomes a reality. You should take great pride in knowing that you will be part of our storied 30-year history of training, producing and nurturing outstanding nurses who are fully equipped to begin a career upon completion of their program.
The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Pre-Licensure program prepares students to function as professionals within the health care team by providing holistic, safe, and quality care for individuals, families and communities in diverse settings. The program includes an emphasis on spirituality, communication, health promotion and disease prevention throughout the lifespan. Our students are challenged to integrate these tenants into practice when caring for patients, families and communities.
The challenges that exist in health care are substantial. However, I am convinced that this and future generations of professional nurses will succeed in responding to these challenges and providing the type of exemplary leadership which is so vital to making a true impact in the field.
