Student Nurses Association (SNA)
The Grand Canyon University Student Nurses' Association (SNA) is a student led organization providing valuable resources to student nurses and the community. The SNA represents a coalition of nursing students who take pride in their school, community, and future career as exemplified through selfless acts of volunteerism.
The SNA is committed to promoting professionalism and leadership through "Keys for Success" which include: leadership training, participating in community events, attending guest speaker broadcasts, training, networking, mentorship, resume building and forging friendships with fellow nursing students. The SNA offers all members the opportunity to be recognized for their volunteer efforts with a Service Recognition Awards Program.
The GCU SNA is affiliated with the National Student Nurses' Association (NSNA) and provides a gateway for students to become involved in a professional nursing organization. NSNA is an organization for nursing students focusing on the professional development of future nurses. NSNA students participate in numerous community outreach events, fundraising, and volunteer opportunities. NSNA's mission is to mentor nursing students to exhibit professionalism through leadership and member involvement in the organization. There are currently over 60,000 members in NSNA nationwide.
