ABET Accreditation

GCU’s College of Engineering and Technology has three baccalaureate degree programs accredited by the Computing Accreditation Commission of ABET, four baccalaureate degree programs accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET and one baccalaureate degree program accredited by the Engineering Technology Accreditation Commission of ABET.

ABET is a nonprofit, non-governmental global accreditation body and a collective of 36 member societies that represent a vast array of industry professionals across the world. These societies help to establish the accreditation criteria for their areas of expertise.

Through these standards, ABET accreditation assures that the educational experience for students meets global specifications for technical education in key disciplines.

Because many technical professions require graduation from an ABET-accredited program, ABET helps to produce graduates ready to enter critical technical fields that are leading the way in innovation and emerging technologies, and anticipating the welfare and safety needs of the public.
