About Eric
I am originally from Simi Valley, California and an alum of GCU. After earning a B.S. in Justice Studies, I got my Master of Public Administration degree. My favorite memory as a student at GCU was finding hidden rooftops throughout campus and launching water balloons at unsuspecting students, although I don't recommend it. My favorite spots to hang out in Phoenix are new restaurants in downtown Scottsdale and Phoenix. I have an amazing wife and a German Shepherd/Chinese Shar-pei mix named "Penny". I enjoy (trying to) golf, target shooting, reading, learning, spending time with my wife and hanging out with GCU students
Favorite Scripture Verse
And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good,[a] for those who are called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28
The Office of Residence Life exists to take the residential experience on GCU's campus past just offering a place to sleep. Building a close-knit residential community on campus through social programming and fun-filled student events is the ultimate goal of Residence Life.
On the rare occasion a resident's experience is less than ideal, RDs and RAs are there to assist students with any problems that may arise. From roommate mediation to informal counseling, Residence Life staffers are there to make a resident's experience as positive as possible.

Favorite Scripture Verse
Then Jesus said, "Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light." Matthew 11:28-30

Chelsea Ellis
Resident Director
About Chelsea
I was born in Vista, California and am a proud GCU alum. My favorite memory at GCU was during my senior year when we convinced the facilities staff to move playground equipment, specifically the monkey bars, to the front door of our apartment. My favorite place to hang out in Phoenix is my apartment! My parents and sisters live in Memphis but I do have a lovely basil plant (Diva) that I have managed not to kill off yet. In terms of activities and interests, I have picked up the lost art of tie-dying recently and also like to read, make my perfect homemade mac n cheese recipe, and pretend that I'm a good guitar player.
Favorite Scripture Verse
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. 2 Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. 3 Consider him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.
Hebrews 12:1-3

My interests are playing guitar, singing, photography, digital design, basketball, golf, and cars.
Favorite Scripture Verse
I am crucified with Christ, I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son if God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.

About JP
I was born in Chicago, IL and spent time hopping between there and Minneapolis before finally ending up in Phoenix. I attended Arizona State University for my undergrad and GCU for my graduate degree. Although there are many, my favorite memory of GCU was witnessing the infamous hail storm of 2010. I enjoy Phoenix and most recently, I have found a couple of great java spots; Giant Coffee and JoBot Coffee...love 'em both! My wife and I have a 3-year old daughter and we will begin an adoption process end of 2011/early 2012. I love art and photography, DJing, hip hop music, cars, motorcycles and design. An interesting/bizarre fact about me is that I have an odd love for typography.

Favorite Scripture Verse
And He has said to me "My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness." Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me. Therefore I am well context with weaknesses, with insults, with distresses, with persecutions, with difficulties, for Christ's sake; for when I am weak, then I am strong." II Corinthians 12:9-10
