Frank Dubuy is the adjunct professor of trombone, euphonium and instrumental methods at Grand Canyon University. He just recently retired as the Fine Arts Department Chair, director of orchestra and jazz studies at Hamilton High School, Chandler, AZ.
During his career, he held positions as associate conductor of the US Army Band (Pershing's Own), Director of The US Army Chorus and Chorale, Director of The US Army Orchestra and Strolling Strings, Associate conductor of The US Army Field Band
and Director of The US Army Soldiers Chorus, Commander and conductor of The US Military Academy Band and Director of the US Military Academy Cadet Glee Club. As a conductor of these professional ensembles, he appeared in numerous concerts in Washington, D.C., on national and international tour, in New York City and New England.
During his pursuit of a master's degree in orchestral conducting from Texas Christian University, he was on the conducting staff of the Ft. Worth Symphony Orchestra, John Giordano, Music Director.
His teaching credentials include, Assistant Professor of Music at Southeastern Louisiana University (Director of Bands and Coordinator of Instrumental Music), Director of the SLU Opera Orchestra and instructor of instrumental conducting, instrumental music education and orchestration. His public school qualifications include serving as Associate Director of Bands at Coronado High School, Scottsdale, AZ.
As a clinician he has conducted honor ensembles and symposia throughout the United States , in particular in Tennessee at the Tennessee Technological University, The Tennessee Governors School for the Arts and in Nashville.
