Danae Farrell is currently lead faculty for the healthcare administration and services programs in the College of Arts and Sciences. She has an MBA from the University of Alaska Anchorage and a BA in Psychology from Simmons College in Boston, Massachusetts. She is board certified in healthcare management through the American College of Healthcare Executives, and is currently president-elect for the local chapter, Arizona Healthcare Executives. This is her second term on the board of Arizona Healthcare Executives, and served as membership committee chair for the Georgia Association of Healthcare Executives. Danae has held diverse roles around the country in health care over the past 15 years, managing physician practice groups, as an admissions and health information management director, and most recently providing health care consulting services, with a focus in business development, strategic planning, and regulatory issues. Additionally, she has played a key role in re-designing systems to increase patient and referral source satisfaction, and negotiating multi-million dollar managed care contracts for large academic health care systems. Danae began her position at GCU in fall of 2010.
