GCU Summer Dance Intensive

Join us for a day camp with opportunities for students to train in many different dance modalities and experience a refreshing new outlook on the expressive potential of dance! Courses include Jazz, Ballet, Contemporary, Composition and Health for the Dancer (Pilates, Conditioning, Nutrition).
Distinguished faculty from the College of Fine Arts and Production as well as guest teaching artists will guide your practice. Students will also have the opportunity to get to know the GCU campus and Dance Education program.
Family and friends are invited to a demonstration event Friday, June 13 at 3 p.m. in Ethington Theatre. Demonstration presented by students participating in both weeks.
Students should bring ballet and jazz shoes each day.
All students are invited to join us for a Pool Party with a DJ and refreshments on Friday, June 6 from Noon to 3 p.m. Please plan to bring your swimsuits and a towel.
Male and female dancers age 12 - 18 years are invited to attend. For students with some previous dance experience, there will be a beginning-intermediate section. For students with over two years of dance training, there will be an intermediate-advanced technique section. Students will take placement classes on the first day of class to determine their technical levels.
