If approved by your manager, hourly employees will be paid for volunteer hours that occur during their normal work schedule. Please note you will not be paid outside of your normal work hours, as attendance is not mandatory.

Additionally, volunteers who work the full shift for the commencement ceremonies may take up to eight hours of "Lopes Time Off" the week prior to or following the ceremony event date. After obtaining prior management approval, you can use these hours to leave early or come in late for your normal shift. Please code those hours using LTO in Kronos.

Graduate Seating Staff - Assist the students to their correct seats on the arena floor and help provide directional flow during the live ceremony. You will be on your feet for at least 45 minutes during the live ceremony. You will also be visible to all within the arena.

Special Needs Staff - Help assist guests and students with any special needs they may have prior to the ceremony, during the ceremony and after the ceremony. For this position we will need individuals who are strong enough to assist individuals in wheelchairs and can go up and down stairs with ease. Please note: driving of a golf cart is a possibility.
