Commencement Volunteers hours will be from 7 a.m. to approximately 6 p.m. Continental breakfast, lunch and snacks will be provided throughout the day.
Available Volunteer Positions
Concierge Staff - Greet students and guests as they arrive. Help answer questions, provide directions and offer assistance to all attendees. This group will be the first individuals the graduates and their family members meet. We want friendly and outgoing personalities. You will be standing for most of your task duration, pre and post ceremony.
Graduate Seating Staff - Assist the students to their correct seats on the arena floor and help provide directional flow during the live ceremony. You will be on your feet for at least 45 minutes during the live ceremony. You will also be visible to all within the arena.
Special Needs Staff - Help assist guests and students with any special needs they may have prior to the ceremony, during the ceremony and after the ceremony. For this position we will need individuals who are strong enough to assist individuals in wheelchairs and can go up and down stairs with ease. Please note: driving of a golf cart is a possibility.
Student Regalia Staff - Help the students get dressed in their regalia prior to the ceremony. You will be standing for most of your task duration, pre-ceremony.
Usher Staff - Will be handing out commencement programs to the guests and help provide directional flow during and after the ceremony. This position helps maintain crowd control and requires someone who has a strong demeanor and friendly personality. You will be standing for most of your task duration, pre and post ceremony.
