Due to tremendous growth within the university, our Arena will be under construction during the time frame in which the 2013/2014 school year comes to an end and our traditional commencement ceremony is held. We are expanding our Arena because of increased student growth and our need for larger Chapel services, availability for larger student and group events and to enhance the lives of our student body as a whole. 

CONHCP and KBCOB Ceremony
Graduate Candidate Check-In from 8 - 9:30 a.m.  
Commencement Ceremony from 10 a.m. - Noon 
Friendly Ceremony Tidbits:
  • The Coliseum doors will open at 8 a.m. for guest seating.
  • Parking for the ceremony will be on the south side of the Coliseum off of McDowell Road.
  • Graduate candidates will enter through the west doors. Guests will enter through the south doors. Guests will not be able to enter through the west doors with the graduate.
  • Graduate candidates will check-in and then be seated on the Coliseum floor by college and degree level with the help of a commencement staff member.
  • If you have a fellow classmate joining in the ceremony, please make arrangements to meet up with them before you take your seat. There will be plenty of time to check-in, meet with fellow classmates and dress in your regalia if you arrive when doors open.
  • Wear comfortable shoes.
  • Estimated time frame for ceremony will be 2 hours.
  • The Coliseum concession stands will be open for purchase of beverages and snacks for your guests. No outside food is allowed into the arena unless medically necessary. Sealed bottled water will be allowed. We will have bottled water available for the graduates. 

CAS/COE/COFAP/COT Ceremony
Graduate Candidate Check-In from 1 - 2:30 p.m.
Commencement Ceremony from 3 - 5 p.m.
Friendly Ceremony Tidbits:
  • The Coliseum doors will open at 1 p.m. for guest seating.
  • Parking for the ceremony will be located at the 19th Avenue and Monte Vista entrance.
  • Graduate candidates will enter through the west doors. Guests will enter through the north doors. Guests will not be able to enter through the west doors with the graduate.
  • Graduate candidates will check-in and then will be seated on the Coliseum floor by college and degree level with the help of a commencement staff member.  
  • If you have a fellow classmate joining in the ceremony, please make arrangements to meet up with them before you take your seat. There will be plenty of time to check-in, meet with fellow classmates and dress in your regalia if you arrive when doors open.
  • Wear comfortable shoes.
  • Estimated time frame for ceremony will be two hours.
  • The Coliseum concession stands will be open for purchase of beverages and snacks for your guests. No outside food is allowed into the Coliseum unless medically necessary. Sealed bottled water will be allowed. We will have available bottled water for the graduates. 

Eligibility Requirements

  • Fall 2013 Graduates
  • Expected Spring & Summer 2014 Graduates
    • Must be registered through completion with end date of final course being Aug. 17, 2014 or earlier.
