Linda Miller

Linda Miller spoke to the students of the Ken Blanchard College of Business on the subject of organizational coaching. Miller said good coaching is present and focused, draws out the thinking of others, and actively encourages. "Coaching is about asking, not telling," Miller said, "and it's about encouraging people to think differently.... It's a leadership advantage."

business students on February 28 to discuss servant leadership. Dr Blanchard explains that we are all leaders. Leadership is about influencing people and we all have the opportunity to lead and influence the people around us.

On February 22, Ann Phillips from the Ken Blanchard Companies spoke with GCU's business students. As part of the "Developing yourself as a Leader" series Ms Phillips explored the topic "What Makes a Good Leader."

Through this interactive presentation, Ann outlines the traits and qualities that define a good leader. A successful leader is one who brings the best out in others. Developing a partnership with employees, good leaders understand that "we are all in this thing together".

On February 1, the students of the Ken Blanchard College of Business welcomed Colleen Barrett and Sheldon Harris for a lively and engaging discussion of "the value of culture in action".
