The Colangelo School of Sports Business at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona aspires to be a leading provider of sports business education throughout the Southwest. With the mission of providing a significant impact throughout the sports industry, GCU's sports management program will deliver an exceptional workforce that contributes knowledge, creativity, and inspirational leadership in their field.

This program is available both online and on our traditional campus.

  

 Highlights of the sports management program include:

  • GCU is a private, Christian-based university located in the heart of Phoenix, Arizona. We are currently the one school in the state to offer a major in sports management and our program is also uniquely positioned within the College of Business.
  • The curriculum promotes real-world experiential learning and student development.  The Jerry Colangelo brand name, combined with the diverse Phoenix marketplace, provides our students with substantial networking and practical experience opportunities.
  • Students gain hands-on access to the entire GCU Antelopes NCAA Division II athletics department (Starting with the 2013/2014 season, Grand Canyon University begin the process of reclassifying from Division II to Division I as a member of the Western Athletic Conference.), which includes a brand new 5,000-seat basketball arena.  Furthermore, an exceptional athletic training and sports performance facility is located within a new 55,000- square-foot student recreation center. 
  •  The academic coursework examines some of the sports industry's issues and trends from a local, national and international perspective.
