GRAND CANYON UNIVERSITY ANNOUNCES COLLEGE OF NURSING AND HEALTH CARE PROFESSIONS
PHOENIX (Nov. 1, 2012) - Grand Canyon University has changed the name of the College of Nursing to the College of Nursing and Health Care Professions.
The change is an effort to better align with the evolving health care industry, bringing nursing and educational offerings in health care administration, health sciences, athletic training and other areas of specialization together under one umbrella.
"This structural change and naming change simply recognizes the shift in the market, helps us better address the changing roles within the health care industry and allows us to better utilize the resources of the University," said Dr. Anne McNamara, dean of the College of Nursing and Health Care Professions.
The College of Nursing and Health Care Professions will now include these health care programs:
- Bachelor of Science in Health Science in Professional Development and Advanced Patient Care
- Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training
- Bachelor of Science in Health Care Administration
- Master of Science in Health Care Administration
- Master of Science in Health Care Informatics
- Master of Public Health
