GRAND CANYON UNIVERSITY LAUNCHES NEW "FIND YOUR PURPOSE" ADVERTISING CAMPAIGN

2012 Marketing Program Features the Christian University's Vibrant Campus and Unprecedented Growth

 

PHOENIX (Jan. 24, 2012) - Phoenix-based Grand Canyon University (GCU) is launching an extensive new advertising campaign today that showcases the University's vibrant  100-acre Central Phoenix campus and highly regarded academic programs.  It is phase three of the University's powerful and successful "Find Your Purpose" integrated marketing and advertising program created in 2009.

Developed using feedback from extensive research and focus groups, "Find Your Purpose 2012" showcases GCU's personalized, Christian university experience coupled with its exciting campus life, which includes a new 5,000-seat arena, nationally ranked NCAA Division II athletics and an ongoing $200 million campus expansion initiative.

"Through our focus groups with high school students and their parents, we learned that a traditional campus with school spirit and dynamic, engaging academic programs were key elements in their college search," said Eric McHaney, GCU's  executive director of marketing. "The working adults we interviewed said it is important for an online degree program to be affiliated with a traditional university. GCU provides all these elements and continues to grow as the college of choice for all of our key student audiences."  

Through the research and strategic planning managed by Phoenix-based advertising agency Moses Anshell, the new 30 and 60-second commercials, will run on network and cable television, radio and in movie theaters in Phoenix, Flagstaff and Tucson, Ariz., Las Vegas, El Paso, Texas and Albuquerque, N.M. The accompanying print ads will appear on billboards and bus shelters and in newspapers in the same select markets.
