Grand Canyon University's Ken Blanchard Executive MBA graduates embark on new leadership paths
PHOENIX (May 6, 2011) - Grand Canyon University's Ken Blanchard College of Business is pleased to congratulate its 2011 graduating class of students from the Ken Blanchard Executive MBA Program.
Seventeen professionals representing geographies from west to east coasts participated in the commencement ceremonies, a culmination of 12 months of intense leadership training and education sessions led by Ken Blanchard and an esteemed group of some of the best-known business leaders in the world.
"These students are now equipped with a new knowledge and appreciation of servant leadership in the workplace. They'll make stronger contributions to their enterprises because they know how to contribute to the bottom line and create great human organizations," said Ken Blanchard College of Business Dean Kevin Barksdale.

Known for the best-selling One Minute Manager and as an entrepreneur heading the San Diego-based Ken Blanchard Companies, the Ken Blanchard EMBA curriculum is taught face-to-face by Blanchard and some of the nation's top business leaders. The program is based largely on his writings Leading at a Higher Level and One Minute Entrepreneur. Since the program began in 2007 nearly 100 professionals have graduated from it.
The 12-month program of study consists of a hybrid approach to learning conducive to the working executive - regardless of his/her location. Three intensive four-day sessions are facilitated by Blanchard, both in Phoenix and in San Diego, while students take the remaining coursework online. It is based on principles Blanchard has honed with Fortune 500 companies over the last 40 years. Underpinning it all, the Ken Blanchard Executive MBA places strong emphasis on character, ethics, values and identifying a higher purpose and vision for a company.
