During the month of November, we invite you to exemplify our school's vision! We are asking all members of the GCU family to join Lopes Give Hope by participating in community outreach in their hometown. There are a wide variety of outreach opportunities available through GCU. However, you are more than welcome to complete outreach with an organization that has personal meaning to you or that you are currently involved in. After volunteering, we ask that you share your story by filling out the survey below. You can also share your photos on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook by tagging GCU and using #lopesgivehope. Make sure to take Thunder with you! You can download him here!

We are kicking off this initiative with an opportunity to help pack nutritious meals for those in need through Feed My Starving Children. This outreach project will take place in Tempe on Friday, Nov. 7 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and Noon to 2 p.m. If you want to volunteer, email lopesgivehope@gcu.edu for more information.

For faculty, staff, students and alumni that live near Albuquerque, you have the opportunity to donate canned goods to the Roadrunner Food Bank. You can drop off your donations at Grand Canyon University, 6700 Jefferson Road, NE Suite D-2, Albuquerque, NM 87109. There will also be an outreach opportunity in December to volunteer at the Roadrunner Food Bank. You can sign-up to take part in that when you drop off your canned good donations.

This is a great chance for you to collaborate in service with fellow GCU students, staff, faculty and alumni. We are excited to see how you choose to give hope in your community and help GCU be "herd" around the nation! The first five people to share their story will receive GCU swag!
