ASGCU is GCU's student government group. We serve as the direct link between the undergraduate student body and University administration. We advocate for the needs of the student body and are who the administration looks to when seeking student opinion.
ASGCU directly serves the student body by providing opportunities to build a cohesive, dynamic campus community.

The Associated Students of Grand Canyon University has six teams that handle different aspects of student and university relations.
President: Suji Shin
Vice President: Samara "Samy" Carlon
Chief of Staff: Jordan Hester
Executive Board Team Purpose: The executive board is charged with the leadership of ASGCU as well as the entire student body. The President, VP and Chairman set the agenda for the year, envision new ideas to accomplish tasks and serve as the link between students and university administration.
Director: Ryan Pinkerton
Activities Team Purpose: The Activities Team plans and oversees events around campus for the entire student body to enjoy, including lip sync competitions, Battle of the Sexes, Java Jams, Movies on the Lawn and the Mr. GCU pageant.
Director: Kason Marques
Intramural Team Purpose: GCU's Intramural Team provides an opportunity for people to get together and play organized sports. In addition to four main seasons for football, volleyball, basketball and soccer, we also host smaller tournaments throughout the year in sports like softball, kickball, ping pong, bowling and Ultimate Frisbee.
Director: Cody Dumas
Communications Team Purpose: The Communications Team plays a vital role in the behind-the-scenes work that goes into all of the events on campus. We work hard to spread the word about all of the exciting activities going on at Grand Canyon on top of publishing the now infamous bi-weekly "Stall Talk" that GCU students catch from the bathroom.
Director: Bre Krall
Multicultural Team Purpose: The Multicultural Team works to raise cultural awareness on campus, foster friendships and create a global experience for students. In addition to expanding the campus' taste buds with Food Truck Round-Ups and a Farmers Market, we plan activities for such national events as Hispanic Heritage Month and International Education Week.
Director: Shaylee Beswick
Student Relations Team Purpose: The Student Relations Team works together to organize events that serve the student body as well as the surrounding community. A few examples of what we do: blood drives, canned food drives, a haunted house and Relay for Life.
Director: Hayley Schaefer
Commuter Team Purpose: The Commuter Team is responsible for creating commuter specific events, finding ways to best communicate with the commuter population and will serve as a liaison between commuters and staff at GCU.
