Writing a Resume or Cover Letter

A resume is a one or two page summary of your education, work experience, accomplishments and skills.  The purpose of a resume is to get your foot in the door of an organization by obtaining an interview.  An interviewer may use your resume as an outline for their interview questions and later as a review of your qualifications after the interview.

Resumes represent an extra special product. That product is YOU!!!  It is a marketing tool for you to use as your public notice to employers.  It is not an autobiography but a concise outline of your knowledge, skills, experiences and accomplishments that are pertinent to your employment objectives.
