This section may be used alone or with an objective. If used in conjunction with an objective, keep the objective brief and do not repeat the objective in your profile. The profile section allows you to state your skills, values and interests to gain the attention of the reader. It is an excellent place to include keywords and requirements that have been stated in a job description.
For some positions, such as scientific or information technology, it is a good place to highlight specific skills such as computer programs, systems or laboratory equipment and procedures. Keep in mind it is sometimes easier to create this section AFTER you have written your resume. This section is usually no longer than 3 or 4 sentences. It may be written in paragraph or bullet form.
