Living on Campus

Located in the heart of beautiful Phoenix, Arizona, the 90-acre campus of Grand Canyon University is an educational oasis.

The campus has experienced a significant renovation with new state-of-the art classrooms, dining halls, dorms, student recreation center and a new 5,000 seat Arena.

For students who live on campus, Grand Canyon University offers both dorm and apartment living. Hegel Hall and Canyon Hall and Prescott Hall feature suite style rooms that can be shared with up to four roommates. Each room comes furnished with two extra-long beds, desks and furnished common rooms. The central common room is shared by all for TV, snacks and games.

Students seeking a more independent living arrangement may be able to call the North Rim Apartments homes. These apartment style, unfurnished homes are available in one bedroom/one bath,  two bedroom/one bath, or two bedroom/two bath apartments.

The staff at Grand Canyon understand that proper nutrition is a key ingredient to successful learning, and we are pleased to offer multiple dining options. Inside the Student Union our expert chefs prepare a variety of culinary delights each day. Whether you are in the mood for a light salad, something hot off the grill, or sampling something from our International Station there are no shortage of dining options available. A new dining hall, Thunder Alley, opened in fall of 2011 and features 2 fast food restaurants and a convenience store. For a quick pick-me-up, Jazzman's Cafe serves up coffee beverages along with assorted drinks and pastries.

In between studies there is always something happening around the campus. On one of the abundant sunny days, enjoy the Olympic sized pool located directly of the promenade. The 55,000 squre-foot Recreation and Fitness Center is always bustling with activity. Students can enjoy the three basketball courts, fitness machines and a robust fitness class schedule. A 6-lane bowling alley and other recreational games are located in the lower level of GCU's newest dining hall, Thunder Alley.

Together the Office of Student Life and the Office of Spiritual Life help organize and develop programs and events that not only provide a refreshing break from studies, but also aid in the development of leadership skills. Student government, intramural sports, campus events, student leadership programs and community service opportunities are all available to our student body.
