|Event Information: The Run to Fight Children's Cancer is a fun and lively event that raises awareness and funds for childhood cancer. Aside from the races, the family-friendly event also includes a post-race festival with jump castles, arts and crafts, music and more! Proceeds from the run benefit the Children's Cancer Network and Phoenix Children's Hospital.
Registration includes official race tech shirt, commemorative finisher medal, gold shoelaces and a runner goodie bag!
|The mission of Grand Canyon University Foundation's Run to Fight Children's Cancer is to create awareness in the community for childhood cancer while also providing support to the families and children affected by the disease. Proceeds from the race directly benefit nonprofit organizations that help in the fight against childhood cancer.
The run begins and ends on the GCU campus and continues on a flat, fast course around the university and the surrounding neighborhood. The two-loop 10K is for runners only. The one-loop 5K is for walkers and runners. The quarter-mile Cancer Survivors' Walk is open to everyone and is held after both races have been completed.
