Master of Arts in Christian Studies with an Emphasis in Youth Ministry

The Master of Arts in Christian Studies with an Emphasis in Youth Ministry is designed for those who have a passion for serving and helping youth achieve their greatest potential. Those seeking a career in church youth ministry typically work in conjunction with a pastor, and are focused on providing biblical guidance, as well as helping their young congregation grow personally and spiritually. Others in Youth Ministry work in para-church groups in collaboration with others in their organizational structure and often in conjunction with local church leaders. This youth ministry degree requires a total of 38 credits and may be taken online or at one of our campus locations.

The MA in Christian Studies with an Emphasis in Youth Ministry prepares students with biblical and theological knowledge and the practical application of that knowledge in leadership settings.This program focuses on learning to listen and guide youth through the most challenging part of their development. Coursework includes a study of spiritual growth and the major doctrines of the Christian faith including the doctrines of revelation, God, humanity, and the world. Topics of study also include the theological structures and themes of the Old and New Testament historical and literary documents.

Our master‛s degree with an emphasis in Youth Ministry is ideal for those who are looking to minister and mentor today‛s youth. Through this degree you will study the techniques used in mentoring and providing pastoral ministry among youth.

Students living in the District of Oahu will be charged 4.5%. Students residing in other Hawaii districts will be charged 4.0%.
