Post-Master of Science in Nursing: Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Certificate


This post masters adult-geriatric acute care nurse practitioner online certificate prepares the experienced registered nurse holding an MSN to provide competent advanced practice nursing care in complex, acute, and critical care settings through an evidence-based program of study. Graduates of the post masters acute care nurse practitioner online certificate may be eligible for certification as adult-geriatric acute care nurse practitioners (ACNPs) from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN).

Coursework for the post masters certificate combines the topics of advanced health assessment, clinical diagnosis, procedural skill acquisition, and care management of acute and chronically ill adults and elders. The ACNP certificate includes 575 hours of supervised clinical practice with preceptors in acute care facilities.

Students living in the District of Oahu will be charged 4.5%. Students residing in other Hawaii districts will be charged 4.0%.

Some programs may also include additional fees based on course materials.
