Biography

Dr. Ann Claesson earned a Ph.D and M.A. in Human Organizational Development from Fielding Graduate University in Santa Barbara, CA. She also received a BSN from Regents College in Albany and an ADN from El Centro College in Dallas. Dr. Claesson's professional experience includes 16 years of Medical-Surgical (14 years Cardiovascular, 5 years Oncology), 20 years Management (13 years clinical, 8 years academic/training, 5 years surgical practice), 15 years Research (13 years clinical, 8 year academic) and 5 years of Pharmaceutical Industry experience. Additionally, Dr. Claesson has held several leadership positions including CEO of a consulting firm, Cardiovascular Service Line Director, Director of Clinical Education Department, Department Chair of Nursing Programs, Level I Trauma Program Manager, and ICU Assistant Head Nurse. Ann's areas of expertise and focus center on tge development and analysis of healthcare delivery systems, clinical service optimization, organizational theory and management, staff mentoring/education, medical writing, clinical/outcomes research, academic publishing.
