Dr. Orlando Rivero is a graduate of Nova Southeastern University with a Master of Public Administration (M.P.A.) and earned his Doctor of Business Administration (D.B.A.) in Management from Argosy University. Dr. Rivero is an accomplished faculty member who has taught for several universities throughout the country. Dr. Rivero has played a significant role in academia having served as a committee member for several national universities where he assisted in the implementation of courses in public administration and management programs. He has also participated as an esteemed member on several dissertation committees.
Dr. Rivero had served in various leadership roles for over 20 years with local government. His experience within Miami-Dade County includes work within the following roles and departments: Administrator of Operations, Police Department - Animal Services Unit, Budget Analyst, Corrections and Rehabilitation Department, Affirmative Action Administrator, and Department of Business Development. He is also the recipient of the 2004 National Association of Counties (NACO) Achievement Award for the implementation of several community driven programs in Miami-Dade County, Florida.
