Biography

Tim Haas is Principal Clarinetist and Personnel Manager of the Symphony of the Southwest (formerly Mesa Symphony Orchestra). He has performed with many groups in the Phoenix metropolitan area, including the Phoenix Symphony, West Valley Symphony, MusicaNova Orchestra, Scottsdale Arts Orchestra and Scottsdale Baroque Orchestra. Timothy received a Master's Degree in Clarinet Performance from Florida State University in 2005 and a Bachelor's Degree in Clarinet Performance from Arizona State University in 2003. Timothy played at the 2000 and 2003 International Clarinet Conventions, and has given performances in Austria, Belgium, Canada, Croatia, Germany, Italy and Switzerland. He was also featured in the PBS television production of "Peanuts Gallery."

Tim has been a featured soloist with bands from Campo Verde High School (Gilbert, AZ), Corona del Sol High School (Tempe, AZ), Hamilton High School (Chandler, AZ), Marcos de Niza High School (Tempe, AZ), Perry High School (Gilbert, AZ) and Ramona High School (Ramona, CA). In high demand as a private teacher and clinician, Timothy maintains a large private teaching studio of clarinet and saxophone students and is a clinician for Basha High School (Chandler, AZ), Corona del Sol High School (Tempe, AZ), Gilbert High School (Gilbert, AZ), Mountain View High School (Mesa, AZ), North Canyon High School (Phoenix, AZ) and Perry High School (Gilbert, AZ)
