Donna DeMilia received her BBA in Public Accounting and MBA in Marketing Management from Pace University in New York, and her Ph.D. in Business Administration, with a concentration in Financial Management, from Northcentral University in Prescott Valley, Arizona. Donna holds both the CPA (New York) and CMA licenses. Donna is the Associate Professor of Accounting and has been with Grand Canyon University since 2005. She brings over 17 years of college teaching experience and over 20 years of professional accounting experience to her classroom. Donna teaches a variety of accounting courses for the undergraduate, graduate, and executive MBA programs, and has been involved in curriculum development for the accounting programs at the Ken Blanchard College of Business. She is also the Faculty Advisor for Grand Canyon University's IMA (Institute of Management Accountants) Student Chapter, and serves on the Board of Directors of the IMA Valley of the Sun Chapter. Donna is on the Editorial Advisory Board of Strategic Finance magazine.
Dr. DeMilia is passionate about teaching, and about helping people to achieve their full potential. She feels that teaching accounting prepares students not only for their careers, but also for better managing their own financial lives. She hopes that in some way their experience in her classroom makes them better stewards of the treasures that God entrusts to them. Dr. DeMilia relocated from New York to Arizona in 2003, and loves the year round Arizona sunshine. In her spare time, Dr. DeMilia enjoys swimming, singing, ballroom dancing, and travelling.
