Biography

Maria Quimba earned both an MSN and MBA from Grand Canyon University. Additionally, she holds an MA in Bioethics from Midwestern University and a BSN from the University of Arizona. Maria has held many professional positions in the Nursing environment. She has worked as a Recruitment Officer, Clinical Nurse for a Medical Surgical Unit, Adjunct Faculty, Charge Nurse for Surgical and Pediatric Units, and Coordinator of Instructional Nursing Programs for organizations like the University of Arizona, Rio Salado College, and John C. Lincoln. Additionally, Maria served in the John C. Lincoln Network Ethics Committee. Currently, she is the Director of Professional Studies for the Nursing program here at GCU. Maria also volunteers her time to educate and give to the community. She is the ambassador for a statewide campaign to educate and encourage youth to pursue careers in the healthcare field and actively participates in speaking engagements at local high schools/health fairs.
