Biography

Dr. Daniel J. Smith joined GCU in 2005 as an adjunct professor, and since then has taught in GCU's undergraduate business, MBA, EMBA, and doctoral programs both online and on campus. He has also been a new faculty mentor at GCU. His interest in regard to research methodology is mostly in quantitative analysis in several content areas, including global leadership and strategy, and operations management. His research agenda is also related to skill development in doctoral programs. He has the MBA and PhD from Arizona State University, an MA from Middlebury College in Vermont, and a Bachelor's degree from Whitman College in Washington State. As a practitioner, he has experience in several Fortune 500 companies in industries including education, retail, high-tech manufacturing, and insurance. He is also very involved in leadership in his community, and has served on several mayoral-appointed boards and committees.
