Earning College Credit for Life/Professional Experience (PST/LLP)
Grand Canyon University offers several avenues outside of the classroom for students to earn college credit. Advanced Placement and CLEP examinations may enable students to place out of certain general education requirements. You will want to contact your University Enrollment Counselor and/or Academic Advisor for details. Students may also document credit through the American Council on Education (ACE). Students should contact ACE for a transcript of professional training that may be applicable. (http://www.acenet.edu/).
Additionally, students may be able to earn college credit for Professional Schools and Training and Life Learning (PST/LLP). These can include things like professional training or personal life experiences. In many cases, college credit may be awarded for these learning experiences. Students should note that PST/LLP credit, if awarded, may only apply to general education or elective requirements at Grand Canyon University and these credits are not transferable to another institution in the way credit for actual courses completed at GCU would be.
