Because admission is competitive, not all applicants will be accepted into the program. There is a pre-professional phase and a professional phase to the program. Athletic training students may apply to the professional phase of the athletic training education program during their freshman year or prior to starting as a transfer student while completing the program pre-requisites. Applications are due April 1 for priority acceptance. We will not accept application after June 15 as we will need to assure clinical rotation sites for each applicant.  The number of students accepted annually is limited by the number of Clinical Rotation Sites and Approved Clinical Instructor availability.  The Athletic Training Admissions Committee (ATAC) is made of GCU Program Director, Head Athletic Trainer, Department Chair and Clinical Coordinator.
