Dining On Campus

For students living or commuting to campus, there are several options to eat, recharge and connect with friends.

Thunder Alley

Located between the Student Union and the Student Recreation Center, Thunder Alley is the perfect spot to eat a meal, or catch up with friends. In addition to delicious food options, a 6 lane bowling alley will provide the perfect break from studies.   To view the menu at any of the dining options, click on the links below.

Jazzman's Café & Bakery offers espresso, fresh brewed coffee, smoothies, tea, bakery items prepared daily, and to-go snacks, salads, and sandwiches

Cobrizo Mexican Grill offers fresh and delicious Mexican favorites in a totally customizable way.  Pick from a variety of fresh meats, vegetables, cheeses, and salsas.

Mein Bowl serves familiar and specialty Asian cuisine with plenty of rice, noodle, meat, and veggie dishes.  There is also a sushi bar with an impressive selection of fresh and tasty Japanese-style items.

The Simply to Go convenience store is the perfect place to pick up a fresh-made salad or wrap, essential supplies for your dorm room, or your favorite GCU gear!

Grand Canyon University Arena

For students looking for a quick pick-me-up, the main Concession Stand on Level 1 of the area will offer coffee, soft-drinks and a selection of high-energy snacks and quick meals.   The Arena is open Monday - Friday 10am - 4pm.   Saturday -Sunday - Closed  (except for events)

Student Union

Conveniently located near the dorms and at the end of the promenade, the Student Union is the hub of all activity happening on campus. In addition to providing access to the Student Life and Spiritual Life staff, the Union also houses a game room, meeting space and is home to the Cooke Health and Wellness Center. The main gathering point is the dining facilities. Managed by Sodexo, a world leader in food preparation, the chefs at GCU are committed to providing the foods, education and tools that students need to lead healthy lifestyles.

The Sodexo staff and Executive Chef are dedicated to the overall wellness of the students and work tirelessly to provide wholesome, healthy meals and to promote nutritional awareness on campus. The Chef has initiated dialogue about diet and nutrition through a project entitled "Chef's Blog". The Chef's Blog offers information such as healthy eating trends and cooking methods. In addition, the Chef utilizes a Sodexo Food Management program, "The Balanced Way", which ensures the staff is preparing and serving meals with the correct ratios of food groups while minimizing fat, sugar and sodium. The Balance Way program focuses on helping students make smart dining and wellness decisions. Customized menus and comprehensive online resources are just a few of the tools we access to keep health and wellness a priority in student's lives. Our health and wellness initiatives are intended to contribute to the overall wellness of the students, and to advancing the health and wellness of the entire campus community.
