Grand Canyon University Brand Licensing
The increased recognition and growth of our alumni base have produced a strong demand for products that display the trademarks, logos and symbols associated with the university. The GCU licensing program has been developed in response to this demand for GCU merchandise.
The university asserts ownership and all rights, title and interest in and to its indicia, which include trademarks, service marks, trade names, designs, logos, seals, symbols, mascots, slogans and any other indicia that is associated with or refers to GCU. The licensing program allows the university to preserve the integrity, character and image of the university and to regulate the quality and appropriateness of products bearing its indicia. Any products will be considered by the university. However, no product will be licensed without the approval of a representative of the GCU licensing program.
Trademark licensing creates a cooperative and positive working relationship between the university, vendors, manufacturers of approved and authorized products and the retailers of these products.
If you are interested in using any of GCU's marks for promotional or commercial purposes, you will need to apply for a license from the university by completing the GCU Licensing Application. Along with the completed application, the licensing department will also need a certificate of insurance and FLA proof of membership (or company code of conduct).
The licensing department will answer questions and provide guidance with regard to the use of GCU's trademarks and assist GCU departments, student organizations and others in finding approved vendors of appropriate promotional and other imprinted items.
