“‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.'” (Matthew 22:37-38)

President Brian Mueller gave a message of hope to the crowd of students, staff and faculty that filled the GCU Arena Monday morning. “Every time there is a crisis, there’s an opportunity,” Mueller advised to the crowd.

Mueller shared his observation and vision that he has not only for GCU, but for all of Phoenix. He pointed out the drastic variance that spans from 24th St. to 35th Ave. This fifteen minute drive is the difference in some of the nicest homes to the most centralized crime areas.

He challenged the audience to be the difference that is made in the community. We are to love our neighbors and our enemies beyond any of the division that exists.
