Grand Canyon University offers numerous ways to finance your education. Scholarship awards, transfer status and whether you choose to live on- or off-campus all factor in to how much you'll pay to attend GCU. All of those factors can make things confusing, quick. To take some of the guesswork out, GCU has broken down total costs based on scholarship award.

2014-2015 Campus Freshman Scholarship Awards**

All freshman applicants must:

  • Have completed and submitted a GCU Campus Admissions Application
  • Submit transcripts showing six semesters or more with cumulative, unweighed GPA
  • Submit SAT (math and verbal scores only) and/or ACT scores
  • Submit final transcripts by 8/1/2014 for 2014 fall semester (12/5/2014 for 2015 spring semester) which includes a graduation date for final awards
  • Maintain the specified GPA, indicated under each scholarship listed below, as well as continuous and full-time enrollment at GCU to be eligible for scholarship renewal

All scholarships are awarded by semester - half the amount for fall, half for spring.
Final awards will be adjusted up or down based on final unweighted GPA, so it is important to continue to put forth your best effort!

Freshman Scholarship Awards**

Chancellor ($12,000 living on campus or $10,000 living off campus per year)
Incoming GPA of 4.0 (unweighted)
Maintain minimum 3.75 GPA as well as continuous and full-time enrollment at GCU

President ($9,750 living on campus or $8,750 living off campus per year)
Incoming GPA of 3.8 - 3.99 (unweighted)
Maintain minimum 3.5 GPA as well as continuous and full-time enrollment at GCU

Provost ($8,750  living on campus or $7,750 living off campus per year)
Incoming GPA of 3.6-3.79 (unweighted), or SAT 1225 (math and verbal scores only), or ACT 27.
Maintain minimum 3.3 GPA as well as continuous and full-time enrollment at GCU

Dean ($7,750 living on campus or $6,750 living off campus per year)
Incoming GPA of 3.4-3.59 (unweighted), or SAT 1100 (math and verbal scores only) or ACT 24
Maintain minimum 3.2 GPA as well as continuous and full-time enrollment at GCU

Faculty ($6,750 living on campus or $5,750 living off campus per year)
Incoming GPA of 3.2-3.39 (unweighted), or SAT 1050 (math and verbal scores only) or ACT 22
Maintain minimum 3.1 GPA as well as continuous and full-time enrollment at GCU

Antelope ($5,750 living on campus or $4,750 living off campus per year)
Incoming GPA of 3.0-3.19 (unweighted), or SAT 1000 (math and verbal scores only) or ACT 20
Maintain minimum 3.0 GPA as well as continuous and full-time enrollment at GCU

 

2014-2015 Campus Transfer Scholarship Awards**

All transfer applicants must:

  • Have completed and submitted a GCU Campus Admissions Application
  • Submit transcripts showing cumulative GPA for 24 or more college credits
  • Submit official transcripts for all previously completed coursework by 8/1/2014 for 2014 fall semester (12/5/2014 for 2015 spring semester)
  • Maintain the specified GPA, indicated under each scholarship listed below, as well as continuous and full-time enrollment at GCU to be eligible for scholarship renewal

All scholarships are awarded by semester - half the amount for fall, half for spring.
Final awards will be adjusted up or down based on final unweighed GPA upon graduation or transfer.

Transfer Scholarship Awards**

President ($7,750 living on campus or $6,750 living off campus per year)
Transfer GPA of 3.5+ (cumulative)
Maintain mimimum 3.3 GPA as well as continuous and full-time enrollment at GCU

Provost ($5,750 living on campus or $4,750 living off campus per year)
Transfer GPA of 3.25-3.49 (cumulative)
Maintain minimum 3.2 GPA as well as continuous and full-time enrollment at GCU

Dean ($4,750 living on campus or $3,750 living off campus per year)
Transfer GPA of 3.0-3.24 (cumulative)
Maintain minimum 3.0 GPA as well as continuous and full-time enrollment at GCU

**GCU scholarships are allowed to be combined up to the following limits:
Chancellor/President Scholarship recipients in campus housing - up to $16,500
All other scholarship recipients in campus housing - up to $14,000
All scholarship recipients living off campus - up to $11,500

**Scholarships may be awarded based on incomplete transcripts. At the time in which final, official transcripts are received, GCU reserves the right to rescind or modify the scholarship if it is determined that eligibility was not achieved.

**This scholarship offer is valid through 8/1/2014 for 2014 fall semester and 12/5/2014 for 2015 spring semester. To be eligible, students must meet scholarship requirements. GCU reserves the right to decline scholarship awards for any reason.

**If a student does not meet the minimum renewal criteria, their scholarship will be forfeited. GCU reserves the right to change scholarship awards at any time without notice.
