Denise has been a practicing licensed counselor for the past 31 years, teaching full-time at GCU in the Counseling program for the past five and a half years full-time in the BA program and teaching part-time in the Master’s program. She continues work with clients weekly. Her specialties are substance abuse and domestic violence counseling. She has presented at conferences in the last two years at various conferences on these two topics and counselor self-care.
