Instructional Design - Graduates will be able to create developmentally-appropriate instruction for diverse learners in alignment with state and national standards using a variety of methods, materials, and resources. (InTASC 1, 2, 5, 7, 8, 10 )
- Apply theoretical, historical, and evidence-based concepts of reading development (e.g., concepts of print, phonological awareness, phonics, word recognition, fluency, vocabulary and comprehension) to literacy instruction. [MC1, MC2]
- Apply theoretical, historical, and evidence-based concepts of writing development and the writing process (e.g., handwriting, spelling, sentence construction, typing, word processing, conventions) to literacy instruction. [MC1, MC2]

Management, Collaboration and Leadership - Graduates will be able to build and manage collaborative relationships with families, professionals, and agencies to enhance the global community through servant leadership.
- Analyze how one's personal values and perspective of servant leadership can influence individual and group behavior. [MC2, MC3, MC4]
- Compare and contrast interpersonal theoretical explanations of human interaction with Christian worldview explanations. [MC1, MC2, MC3]
- Describe how interpersonal communication theories explain human interaction. [MC1]
