Foundational Principles of Psychology -
Graduates of the Graduate Certificate of Completion in Health Psychology will be able to demonstrate an understanding of the theoretical perspectives and themes in psychology and develop a working knowledge of psychology’s content domains. They will also understand the numerous applications of psychology to a variety of settings.

Social Relationships and Multicultural Perspectives Across the Lifespan -
Graduates of the Graduate Certificate of Completion in Health Psychology will be able to demonstrate an understanding of sociocultural factors and be able to integrate and apply these factors to personal, professional and social contexts. An emphasis on comprehension of multicultural themes across the lifespan is also included. Students will analyze and apply these concepts at both national and global levels.

Professional Skills/Development -
Graduates of the Graduate Certificate of Completion in Health Psychology will be able to demonstrate the capacity to thrive in various psychological professions. An emphasis is placed on leadership proficiencies, including written and verbal communication, presentation ability, and team-building. Students will also construct a roadmap for a future career in psychology.

Students will develop an understanding of the various methods of health promotion and prevention of illnesses at the individual and community level.
