Foundational Principles of Psychology -
Graduates of the Graduate Certificate of Completion in Life Coaching will be able to demonstrate an understanding of the theoretical perspectives and themes in psychology and develop a working knowledge of psychology’s content domains. They will also understand the numerous applications of psychology to a variety of settings.

Social Relationships and Multicultural Perspectives Across the Lifespan -
Graduates of the Graduate Certificate of Completion in Life Coaching will be able to demonstrate an understanding of sociocultural factors and be able to integrate and apply these factors to personal, professional and social contexts. An emphasis on comprehension of multicultural themes across the lifespan is also included. Students will analyze and apply these concepts at both national and global levels.

Research Methods -
Graduates of the Graduate Certificate of Completion in Life Coaching will be able to evaluate and select appropriate research methods, designs, and statistics, by analyzing the theoretical, ethical, and methodological components used in conducting research.

• Critically evaluate psychological research.

Professional Skills/Development -
Graduates of the Graduate Certificate of Completion in Life Coaching will be able to demonstrate the capacity to thrive in various psychological professions. An emphasis is placed on leadership proficiencies, including written and verbal communication, presentation ability, and team-building. Students will also construct a roadmap for a future career in psychology.

Life Coaching -
Graduates of the Graduate Certificate of Completion in Life Coaching will develop an understanding of the field of coaching including principal theories, use of assessments, and fundamental skills necessary to working with both individuals and businesses. Students will examine core competencies as well as ethical considerations specific to coaching.
