Graduates of Grand Canyon University’s Doctor of Philosophy in General Psychology program will be able to discuss the history and theories of psychology and apply discipline-specific concepts and principles to psychology practice.

• Discuss the history and development of the theories of psychology.
• Synthesize the theories of Psychoanalysis, Behaviorism, and HTE Psychology.
• Evaluate the common applications of Psychoanalysis, Behaviorism, and HTE Psychology.

PhD General Psychology: Industrial and Organizational Psychology Emphasis -
Graduates of Grand Canyon University’s Doctor of Philosophy in General Psychology program with an emphasis in industrial/organizational psychology will be able to apply psychological knowledge and methods to conduct original research that will promote continuous improvement in the workplace.

• Identify the role of industrial organizational psychologists in an organization.
