I have a bachelor’s degree in psychology from The University of New Orleans, a master’s degree in social work from the University of Southern Mississippi and a doctorate in social work from Tulane University. I have been in private practice for 23 years and previously worked for The Child Abuse Education Council, the MS State Adoption Unit, the MS State Family Preservation Program, and was the co-owner and CEO of Adoption Study Solutions. I have been a Board-Certified Diplomat in Clinical Social Work since 2005 and earned Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist status in 2017. After earning my doctoral degree, I began my new journey as an Assistant Professor at The University of Southern Mississippi. Now, I absolutely love educating students at Grand Canyon University as a full time professor and as an adjunct professor at Tulane University. On a personal note, I am a God loving Catholic who enjoys spending time with my family (including the furry members), the outdoors, and teaching yoga.
