Biography
Dynamic and accomplished nursing leader with over 23 years of progressive experience in academic, clinical, and administrative roles. Recognized for excellence in teaching, program development, and leadership in nursing education. Proven track record in grant acquisition, scholarly publication, and accreditation success.  Academic Leadership: Associate Dean, Assistant Dean, Assistant Department Chair, and Program Director roles at Fayetteville State University and UNC Pembroke.  Educational Credentials: DNP, MSN Community Health Nursing-Direct Care Role, Women’s Health NP, and a doctoral-level certificate in Higher Education Leadership and Administration.  Teaching Excellence: Tenured Associate Professor with extensive experience in undergraduate and graduate nursing education across multiple institutions.  Research, Grants, Awards: Principal Investigator on numerous funded research projects, grants and awards totaling over $4.5 million.  Scholarly Contributions: Published in peer-reviewed journals; record of presentation at national and international conferences.  Accreditation Expertise: Led successful CCNE accreditation efforts for both BSN and MSN programs in existing and new programs. Participated to SACSCOC reaffirmation and accreditation for university.  Professional Recognition: AACN Leadership Fellow, multiple teaching awards, and service honors.  Clinical Practice: Broad background in public health, school nursing, and women’s health as a certified nurse practitioner.
